As part of the International Graduate Studies program, the Conflict Studies Research Center organized a field trip to villages in northern Ramallah for students from The New School.
During the tour, the participating students from The New School, an American university, were introduced to the administrative divisions of different parts of the West Bank. The trip allowed the students to travel through several areas with the assistance of community organizations, given the nature of these regions and the restrictions imposed on them.
The students listened to the difficulties faced by the residents of the Silwad refugee camp, particularly the lack of services from the UNRWA) compared to other camps. They also learned about the struggles of surrounding villages due to the occupation, including water scarcity, inadequate services, and discussions on gender issues.
